Review : Scratch by Corey Burkes

Tittle : Scratch
Author : Corey Burkes
Publication date : February 10, 2012 by DesktopEpics Entertainment
Audience : adult
Source : author for review

Scratch is short and sweet horror story. When I first read the synopsis, it got me very interested. However, I expected it to be a novel, not just a short story. It's an ebook format embedded with audio to enhance the reading experience. The good news is, for those of you who love uninterrupted read, there's a screenplay at the end of the ebook for full script of the conversations.

Review : Black Flowers by Steve Mosby

Tittle : Black Flowers
Author : Steve Mosby
Publication date : April 1, 2011 by Orion Publishing
Audience : Adult

Black Flowers is the first crime novel I read. I don't really read crime book because there are too many crime TV series out there that kind of bore me. However, I changed my mind. When I saw the front cover of the book and located the "the dead can tell tales" sentence, I felt like, well, this must be a good story worth checking out.

Review : Destined by Jessie Harrel

Tittle : Destined
Author : Jessie Harrel
Publication date : November 17, 2011 by Mae Dae Publishing
Audience : Young adult

I am a fan of Greek mythology and when I found out that Destined is a retelling of the tale of Psyche and Eros, I kept telling myself that I have to read this book. I personally find that reading a retelling story is interesting because we get to know the author's creativity in adding more story without ruining the existing tale.
